Use official NT Parks camping when it suits you — mornings become walks, not two-hour drives. Book only via parkbookings.nt.gov.au (no on-site payment). For hotels or motels, Alice Springs has the full services; Hermannsburg / Ntaria is a limited western alternative. Glen Helen gorge is NT Parks; the commercial lodge/camp is a different product — check the Discovery Parks Glen Helen page before you plan a bed there.
